About the House

*Large lounge/dining room *3 bedrooms (1 double/ensuite, 2 twin) * 3 bathrooms *Large roof terrace with tables, chairs, loungers, views of pine forests one side *2 sunny ground floor terraces, with chairs, tables, loungers *Full sized, separate kitchen * Courtyard off the kitchen * swimming pools

There 4 huge pools and todder size pools, with soft grassed areas for sunbathing and toilets, showers and changing rooms at each one. The pools are lifeguarded. La Loma is divided into 4 sections and a pool is located in each section. One is surrounded by pine trees for shade and makes a nice picnic area. You can use any of the pools; our nearest is about 40 metres walk from home. Although the pools are communal, they are NEVER overcrowded. We had our holiday at the end of July last year and we found we sometimes had the whole pool to ourselves. Children and teenagers of all nationalities love the pools and usually one pool seems to get dubbed as the place to meet and mingle with others of the same age

The interior of the house is sunny and bright throughout with no dark depressing interior areas. Large glazed sliding doors on each side of the lounge allow the sunlight to flood through the house which is a real bonus. All doors and windows have lockable security shutters.

The doors either side lead to separate sun terraces where there are tables, chairs, loungers and parasols. You'll always be able to catch the sun on one of them. During the summer the back patio is fantastic for sunbathing, bbqs and general dossing.

The terraces are well designed and not overlooked by neighbours, you'll feel nice and private. We have planted a fig tree, lemon, lime and Clementine. Relax on a sun lounger sipping a gin and tonic with a slice of fresh lime cut from the tree, or an ice cold beer whilst your kids play happily with our various toys and games.

3 bedrooms: All bedrooms have fitted wardrobes with drawers and hanging space

Main double bedroom First floor:ensuite bathroom, french doors leading balcony, which leads up to the huge solarium roof terrace.
2 twin rooms, one on the first floor , next to the large family bathroom and one on the ground floor, next to the ground floor shower room.

We also have a very sturdy travel cot which can be used for babies up to about 2 years old (can be used as a playpen too). You need to bring your own mattress for hygiene and safety reasons.

We do have 2 sofabeds in the lounge which mean that maximum occupancy of 8 people can be achieved. Please note though, that those sleeping on sofabeds would need to share wardrobe space with the bedrooms. For occupancy of more than 6 people there is a supplement payable, the amount depends on the season; please enquire. 8 persons (plus baby using cot if applicable) is the absolute maximum occupancy accepted. Sorry but we cannot allow occupancy exceed this number.

All bathrooms have basin and toilet; the ground floor one also has a shower; the two upstairs ones have baths plus overhead shower, plus bidets. All bathrooms have lovely big mirrors!

Kitchen: *Fridge/freezer * Microwave * Coffee maker * Washing machine * Iron and ironing board * Full 4 ring electric hob and electric oven with extractor fan * Plenty of cupboard space * Stainless steel sink and drainer *Plenty of crockery, utensils, pots, pans, casserole dishes, everything we could possibly think of that any self respecting self catering home should have!
We also try to ensure there are essential 'start off' store cupboard items – loo roll, tea, coffee, pasta, rice, cooking oil, olive oil, tinned goods, jars of cook in sauces, washing powder, beers, maybe the odd bottle of wine etc. We encourage guests to replace what they have used so that the next guest also benefit from having the essentials there when they arrive.

Outside Space

The double glazed kitchen door leads out onto the kitchen courtyard which is lovely for sitting out for a coffee etc, drying washing, or just for a cool down if you get a bit hot when cooking.. There is an outside tap and a hose for makeshift cooling down if needed….

There are several terraces, front, back and roof, where you can enjoy lunch or evening meals. We have fairy lights which you can string up on any of the terraces, which give a lovely, twinkly atmosphere and all terraces have outdoor lighting. There are also a couple of really funky rechargeable colour-changing 'glass brick' lights which can be taken up to the roof terrace without having to trail electric leads around. They create a really great atmosphere.

The back terrace has a large table for up to 10 people * Parasols * Sun loungers * BBQ * retractable washing line * childrens toys - bats, balls, tennis rackets (for use on La Loma's private tennis courts), footballs, paddling pool, bodyboards, buckets and spades, cars, bowling set, etc

The front terrace overlooks the flower gardens and has 2 round tables and chairs and parasols

The roof terrace is great for sunbathing and has sunloungers and parasols. On balmy evenings it's fantastic sitting up there watching the stars and seeing the lights of La Loma twinkling. You also have daytime views over the pine forests on one side, and the peoplewatchers among you can watch the comings and goings at the Tartessus on the other side.

La Loma is a secure, gated urbanization and you will be given keys to gain access inside. Our gated surround is softened by climbing plants which spill over the fences and scent the evening air with jasmines, plumbago, passion flowers. The beautifully planted gardens all around are well maintained and very attractive.

You'll love wandering around the fabulous landscaped communal gardens enjoying the flowers and architectural planting – there are palms, pine trees, banana palms (some with real bananas); olive trees, gorgeous flowers and shrubs. In the summer the gardens are a riot of colour and scent.

There is a small, shaded swingpark to one side of La Loma. The expansive gardens are great for an evening walk or for children to explore, play hide and seek, ride bikes etc. The urbanisation is secure and gated. Pools are also fenced and gated.

There are also tennis courts on site, you will be given keys to use these and there are rackets at the house.
